Hi everyone – I did have an iblog page all ready to go, but iblog seems to have disappeared from the internet… so back to trusty old wordpress.

Righty – I’ll start from the beginning…

I am Jim – I’m overweight and been struggling with my size for a long time, blaming pretty much everything on my weight. I have tried *lots* of diets… WeightWatchers, SlimmingWorld… multiple others. The most success I’ve had is with Atkins. I have been on Atkins for a couple of months and lost about 28 Pounds. (Which I’m proud of)

The problem is that now I’ve got to the point in the diet where I’m starting to cheat, and I can’t stop myself. Whenever I feel down, uncertain or depressed I emotionally eat. With Atkins, because the diet is formed with normal food, the line between good and bad food can be blurred and then easily broken altogether.  So rather than do what I usually do and just give up and enjoy another year of misery – I’ve decided to kick it up a notch and see this thing through. I’ve opted for the Cambridge diet. Everything but the Cambridge food packs are off bounds… everything is contraband… which to me is much easier.

I’ve just come back from seeing my Cambridge counselor – Diane – who was very supportive and covered all the bases, and sold me all the food I need for the week.

I’m have to have 4 food packs a day, and a minimum of 4 pints of water for a grand total of 500 calories a day…. this is going to be mega difficult, but I’ve done so well on the Atkins, I can’t let it go, and this is just going to finish it off.

I shall try to blog every day… as a last supper, I’ve had some pizza for dinner – technically, no real solid food for 3 months.
